Martin Gardner (1914-2010) war ein bekannter, amerikanischer Mathematiker- und Wissenschaftsautor, der ein großes Interesse für die Zauberkunst hegte. Von 1956 bis 1981 unterhielt er der Zeitschrift "Scientific America" eine Kolumne über "Mathematische Spiele".
Leben
Nach der Schule studierte Gardner an der Universität in Chicago und schloss mit einem Bachelor in Philosphie ab. Gardner hat im Laufe seiner Zeit über 70 Bücher herausgegeben. Zu den bekanntesten Büchern für Zauberkünstler gehört die "Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic", 1978.
